IPS Glow
IPS glow is a property of IPS panel technology where light scatters off-axis, creating a diffuse brightening in the corners closest to the viewer. It is normal and not a defect. IPS glow shifts position as you move your head — this distinguishes it from backlight bleed, which stays fixed regardless of viewing angle. Both appear on dark screens in dark rooms. IPS glow cannot be fixed; it is a property of the panel technology.
