Privacy policy
Last updated: September 2026
1. What we collect
ScreenTestLab runs entirely in your browser. We do not capture your screen, store test results, or run any server-side image processing. The only data we collect is anonymous analytics (page views, country, device type) via Google Analytics 4, and basic server logs (IP, user agent, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention.
2. Cookies
We use essential cookies to remember your theme preference (light/dark) and language selection. We use Google Analytics cookies to understand aggregate traffic patterns. We do not use advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser; the testing tools will continue to work.
3. Your screen data
All screen tests happen locally in your browser. The colors, patterns, and readings you see never leave your device. We have no way to know what is on your screen, what defects you find, or what device you are testing. This is by design — your screen is your business.
4. Third-party services
We use Google Analytics 4 for anonymous traffic analytics. We may use a privacy-respecting ad network on certain pages in the future; if so, we will update this policy and disclose the vendor. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party.
5. Your rights
Under GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), and similar regulations, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Because we don't collect personal data tied to you, there is generally nothing to access or delete. For specific requests, contact us via the contact page.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
